We manage combustion by-products comprehensively and safely in accordance with current legislation and with the highest standards of quality and environmental management.
Combustion by-products include ash and slag that remain after coal burning.
In 2006, the Myśliborska landfill site was closed and the reclamation process began. The ash-slag mixtures deposited there were reused for road substructures and much of the land along the Vistula River was reclaimed. The progressive return of fauna and flora to areas that not so long ago had no natural value can already be seen. A mixture of ash and slag from our plants was used as a building material for the ring roads of Sochaczew, Mszczonów, Jabłonna, Chynów, and Grójec, as well as for the Siekierkowska Route or the construction of the embankments of the Maria Skłodowska-Curie Route and the Okęcie Route. In 2015, we signed an investment agreement with Lafarge Cement for the management of approximately 190,000 tons of fly ash generated as a by-product of the coal combustion process at the Siekierki CHP Plant.
